Jesus is supreme in authority and power. He is higher than the angels and all beings in God’s creation. He is superior to Old Testament kings, high priests, and Moses. His blood replaced the atoning bull and ram sacrifices. They were once means by which God dealt with the Israelites’ sin to maintain a right relationship with God.
